Final Fantasy xiii will be released march 9 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Final Fantasy is well known for its graphics but for a lot of people the Battle squence is the most important part. The way battles are handled in Final Fantasy xiii seems like it is much better than a turn based system.
The Battle system this time uses a battle gauge and as you use your points as you play, the better the attack the more points used. The meter fills up over time so it could be depleted depending on your play style. One of the advanced techniques you can summon an eidolon to fight next to you and you could also ride the eidolon for direct control over it.
Of course setting up your party is very important. Final Fantasy xiii using a paradigme stystem. The paradigms are commando, ravager, synergist and medic. Paradigms are you characters style of play and these can be changed in combat, for example if you are not doing so well you could switch your member to medics to heal everyone.
In between battles you will want to upgrade thing such as hit points, so Final Fantasy xiii uses a crystarium which is kind of hard to explaing but it is visualy pleasing, check out the video for more details:
