Darksiders Secret Achievements

Here are the secret achievements for Darksiders:

Secret Achievement: Slayer 10 GS

Kill 666 Demons

Secret Achievement: River of Blood 10GS

Shed 3000 gallons of demon blood, accumulated while fighting demons.

Secret Achievement: Horseman 20G

Horseman -
Kill 150 demons from horse back.

If you dont have this achievement before you go towards the final boss, there are a couple of good places for this.

The Ashlands, there is a rideable passage in the North North East corner that goes between the ashlands and the Arena(just before Stygian's area). This has clusters of about 5-8mobs, ride through killing each group, there was about 4 groups. For some reason these groups tend to respawn by the time you get to the end of the area, just turn around and ride back through.

The Crossroads/Scalding Gallows.
Goto the Crossroads, mount up and kill everything in this area, should be around 20ish mobs. Use the serpent hole and goto Scalding gallows, kill everything here. Once everything is dead go back to the Crossroads and keep repeating till done.

Dark Rider -
Ride for 100 miles

If you start running on Ruin, then press RB(for the Ruin's Charge) and all use all 5 of them once the previous fire effect from charge runs out .
20 second from the time you start running till all the Ruins charge abilities(x5) are back, this will equal around 0.33 of a mile.
Should be able to do approximately a mile a minute,
Approx 1hrs 40mins to get achievement.

The other way is move to the centre of the arena, press the thumb stick back and to the left and then weight it down in place (this will make Ruin run circles, you want to be in the middle so that you dont run over the fire traps and end up dieing.
In about 45 minutes you will gain approximately 32miles
Approx 2hrs 40mins to get achievement

Another way, is the arena where you get Ruin, there is a locked door on the north end, plant your horse to the left of this door and push forward on the stick, even though the horse is cantering on the spot you can check the distance travelled and it is still going up.
Just find something that puts a little weight on the stick to keep it pushing forward, and go and do something for a few hrs you'll get this achievement while being productive on something else.
Only use this way if you have about a day to spare as you will only get around 5miles in about 45mins

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: ConvictionTom Clancy's Splinter Cell ConvictionTom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction Limited EditionTom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

Splinter Cell Conviction is the latest installment in the Tom Clancy series, it is yet another stealth based game but it looks like they have made it a little easier to be stealthy. They based some of the movement on Rainbow six vegas, so it is cover based. The story is based on Sam being part of a conspiracy against him and now Grim, one of the higher ups wants him to overthrow a plot to save the president. Which has been done in many movies.

The interesting part of the game to me is the co-op, it takes the single player story and lets you play cooperatively another part that links to it. The single player is about four EMP bombs that threaten to blow up Washington and co-op is about how those EMP's came to the US. So co-op isn't just single player with two people it is whole other expierence.

There is also a mark system, sam can mark targets while hiding and then execute a move to take out muliple targets, this is a good way to do it. Some people might think that it dumbs down the game and I would agree but it must be easy enough for the average player to be able to enjoy it.

There are some online modes for Splinter Cell Conviction such as Huner: Two players team up to take out the enemies though the map. (sounds like terrorist hunt to me). Then there is Infiltration: Similar to Hunter but Stealthy. Last Stand: Similar to Horde, there is an EMP in the middle and two players must defend it against waves of enemies. Face off: basicaly one on one but with some bots to help out the players.

Overall I think the game looks interesting and will probably buy it but I don't think it is a must have even though I am a fan of the series.
