Modern Warfare 2 is available on xbox 360, PS3 and PC It is rated Mature Price $60 -$150 This is new so it is hard to find it at a lower price unless it is used
A variety of packages are available including the Prestige edition which comes with some night vision goggles, they work very good. I bought the prestige edition and it is well worth it. 5 AA batteries not included(I found out the hard way)
Modern Warfare has a great campaign that is based off some terrorist using trickery to start a war but most people like it for the multiplayer which is fast paced and has many options.
Batman Arkham Asylum
This is a great game that has been out for a little while but it makes my list because it has a campaign and some bonus levels to keep you interested. Batman Arham Asylum takes you through a thrill ride with a number of characters from the comic book. Your character changes and grows as you accomplish tasks or get hurt. Any fan of Batman should play this game.

Tekken 6
Although there seem to be some issues with multiplayer lag, I think every teenager should have a good fighting game. Single player games are great but with a fighting game you can invite some friends over and have fun playing with each other.
Tekken is a long series that hasn't changed much but the graphics are up to par with todays consoles and I think it is a good choice for under the tree. With a large roster of characters the tournement can be played over and over again.

In the case of fighting games you should pay attention to what you teenager likes because there is a bit of a rivalry between some of the fighting games.

Borderlands
Borderlands just came out and is a great choice because its campaign is long and there are a lot of customizable weapons.
Its visual style is unique to gaming and very pleasing to watch in HD. It has a skill tree lick many RPG's but plays like a first person shooter.Downloadable content is also available

Project Natal is the next microsoft beakthrough It looks great but we will see if it can work. On the videos they show families having a great time but what about the hardcore gamer Are they leaving him out? Along with showing all of the information about Project Natal I will try to find out how it will work with FPS, TPS and RPG,s.

When they showed one of the parts in a tank it had a lock on it, then they showed a part where a helicopter(not sure but seemed that way because it went sideways) Launched a missle at a locked on tank. If they are related this could be how the sniper laser designator works. Also there was acft on the screen, all i could find out about that is that it means: aircraft In the upper left hand side it says "feed" That's what makes me think it is done by laser designator or it could also be done the way a predator is launched in MW2.
They have also included ATV's in Battlefield Bad Company 2. At one point an atv is filmed from a guy with a rocket launcher, so I thnk that he was on the back of an atv. That would be nice although it kind of reminds me of Halo. They are showing conquest mode on Panama canal but I hope that they still have gold rush. That was a great part of Battlefield Bad Company. It kind of set them apart from the rest of the fps titles.

When you play the beta, you will find that there are a multitude of different more or less effective tactics that you can use on Arica Harbor for both attackers and defenders.
If you look closely on the level features, and use your creativity with destruction, you will soon see the results of your battle plans.
1st base
Near the border control gates, you will find tank ditches on each side of the road where you can place your tank for a dug in position that lowers your profile in the terrain, and adds protection for your tank from oncoming fire.
2nd base
Destroy just one hole in the crate house towards construction site, and get a great view on the objective where you can kill enemies that are rushing in, trying to set a charge. Don’t destroy more of the wall than you absolutely need
3rd base
In order to get into this position unseen by enemy, one thing you could do is to use a military tactic called ”mouseholing”. To do this, destroy the wagon side walls close to where you spawn on the bridge, jump inside and start destroying walls only on the end of each wagon until you can see wagon containing the objective. This will create a relatively safe tunnel to the target that you are to protect.
Destroy the walls of the train wagons enough that you can get a strategic position inside the neighboring train wagon, overlooking the objective. Not only are you protected from mortar strikes, but you also have cover to protect you from oncoming swarms of enemies in there as some of the train's cargo is still intact.
4th base
As long as the plank stack is not destroyed, you can use the stack to jump up on the container, and have cover and a good overview of the objective.
5th base
Destroy the walls of the construction site towards the barracks (one steel plate and one brick wall). This will turn the barracks into a real nice strategic position where you can guard the objective on the second floor of the construction site as you now can see it from the barrack windows..

This is a great video with one of the producers(gordon VanDike) from Battlefield Bad Company 2. He talks about the amount of work they put into the campaign, Dice did the whole campaign themselves with the Frostbite engine. He also talks about the weapons and kits, the scopes can be changed out.(great) Whole buildings colapsing, unlocks and character build up. Squad's can be private and the spawns have improved so you don't have to spawn with the guy three sections back at the artillery. Ambiance has improved also. To get this achievement you should use a Molotov(possibly the only method). there is a part in the third chapter were you must go to the grave yard, in the grave yard you can pick up another liter in case you dropped yours as i did. there are also four Molotov bottles scattered around. now to use the Molotov you must light the lighter and then hold x to throw it, they only do half of an enemies full life bar so while your gathering your materials down in the grave yard just disregard the two enemies who are fighting each other down there and when you have a Molotov ready peg em both and hopefully you'll kill one. the targeting system sucks in this game so just load the game if you mess up with all four, there's a checkpoint right before it.

In the carnival level, you will find a strongman bell minigame. It is right before the bumper cars, so if you go past those you have gone too far. You have to hit the red pad w/ any melee weapon, but there is a catch, you must have adrenaline active to make the bell ring. If no one in your party has a shot, then simply travel through the level until you find one and make your way back.
Edit: It has been proven you can use ANY melee weapon. This includes the katana that you frequently find in the picnic tent near the minigame. As long as you have adrenaline, you are good to go.

Cross the bridge finale in less than three minutes.
The finale on the Parish level has a bridge that you have to cross to get to the escape vehicle. It is much like a gauntlet. In order to get this achievement, you just have to cross the bridge in less than three minutes. It is taken from the time you activate the bridge to when you get on the chopper. The best way to do this is grab an auto shotgun at the start along with adrenaline and a pipe bomb. Run through the bridge only stopping to check the supply trucks for more adrenaline or bombs. Use your adrenaline if you start getting hung up from zombies attacking from behind. Use the pipe bomb right before you jump off the bridge to clear out any horde that may be down there, then make a sprint for the chopper. There may be a tank down there so take care to avoid as it becomes hard to get this achievement if you are downed. This solution by AuraOfRage on TA

HEARTWARMER 20
In a Versus round, leave the saferoom to defibrillate a dead teammate.
Ok, so this is very self explainitory, but getting it is a bit difficult. So if you wanna get this in just a normal versus mode, the door of the safe room has to be closed with at least one living and one dead survivor outside of it. If the door does not close, then you cannot get this.
If you want the easy way of getting this, boot up versus with one friend (or just an empty second controller b/c honestly they are not needed for anything,) and find a defibrillater. (Easiest place I have found is the very first chapter of the very first level. There is usually one in a hotel room or a storage room that you have to go through.) Once you have the defibrillater, go to the end of the level, but dont go in the saferoom yet. Knock all your AI teamates health to next to nothing then, repeatedly knock one of them down until they die. Now, this is important, knock the other two down, but leave them alive. Now, go into the safe room, shut the door, open it, run out a difibrillate the dead teamate. Don't worry if it doesnt pop right then, just revive your teamates and go into the safe room. Mine didn't pop until after I had finished the level.

Form a team and beat an enemy team in 4v4 Versus or Scavenge.
First you must find 3 other friends that are willing to play a game of scavenge or versus. Then while on the main menu click on which ever mode you want to play, then look down the list of options for "Team Versus" or "Team Scavenge". Press this option and it will prompt you to start your own team, do so and it will take you to a lobby with 4 slots. Invite your friends and hope that your skills are better than the people you are matched with because you must win the match in order to unlock this achievement! I'm not sure but all 4 people on each team might have to stay in the game or else the achievement might not unlock... So I recommend scavenge since the games are way quicker than versus and you stand a better chance of everyone sticking around for the whole game, I might be wrong about the last bit though.

After the Paperboy mission, you should unlock the Race side missions, with one available in the initial area of Firenze (Florence) called "Florentine Spirit". You obtain this from a thief standing around on the street.
Simply free run / climb / jump through the checkpoints within 2:30 to win the race and the achievement will pop at the end. Almost the entire race is on rooftops, except the first and last checkpoints. Tip of the Iceberg 10 GS
Use your Eagle Vision to scan a Glyph in the environment.
In the game you will come across buildings that will trigger an alert from your Animus 2.0 database. Some of these buildings' profile pics will have a strange red eye symbol on the top left corner with a note from Rebecca saying you should investigate.
The goal is to find a glyph that's more evident with your Eagle Vision (which is nicely upgraded this time around to let you move as you view). Look around the walls of these buildings to find a red glowing symbol.
NOTE: This red will be a lighter red than the ones for enemies so don't get them confused! Learn to recognize the shade or you'll be running into unwanted company.
Once your next to it, the Animus will prompt you to scan with Y button and you will enter a Subject 16 puzzle. The first time around as intro, I don't think you need to press Y. The game will proceed for you with conversation between the techies and a recording from 16 detailing what needs to be done.
You will have the option to come back to the puzzle 16 gives you, I think, but I always attempt the puzzle first and have got it both times I tried.

Doctor 20 GS
Perform an Air Assassination on a Poisoned NPC.
To get this achievement, you have to Poison an NPC, or an enemy with your blade, then perform an Air Assassination on them.
Easiest way to do it, is find a guard where there is something you can climb on above him.
Poison him, climb up, switch to your hidden blade, and perform an Air Assassination.

Unlock all 20 pieces of Subject 16's video.
Find and solve 20 Glyphs, glyph locations located at bottom of the page You can see which Locations have Glyphs by the Red Eye symbol that appears on the Location image in your Database.
It will be clear if you've already found it.
Glyphs will be glowing yellow, and you must stand in front of it, and use Eagle Vision. Then you must solve it.
It's easier to locate the Glyphs if you look for them with Eagle Vision on, as the Glyphs will glow red in Eagle Vision.

Intercept a Borgia Courrier
Finding a Borgia courier is half of the challenge; catching him is the other half.
To find him, look for an unidentified man running around with a white arrow indicator above his head. There will be no icon on your map or minimap. There is one in the Santa Maria Novella section of Firenze (Florence).
Once you find one, chase him down. In order to "intercept" him, you'll want to lock onto him with the left trigger and then tackle him using the B button. He can be a little tricky to catch, as he's quite fast and travels over rooftops, but if you use the free running sprinting whenever you can, it won't take too long to run him down.
If you succeed, you'll earn (steal) approximately 1500 florins, and then he'll beg for his life and run away. The achievement pops as soon as you tackle him.

Get all Hidden Blades, Item Pouches and Armor upgrades for Ezio.

Wear the Auditore cape in each city.

Fly Swatter 5 GS
Kick a Guard while using the Flying Machine described but you can also see it in the Frequent flyer video below.
You must get this on your playthrough as this can only be done during story. Divinci will have u fly a glider, make sure u get close to an archer and hold LT to kick one off. If u miss just crash glider until u get it.
This achievement is missable!
It can only be obtained during the mission, Infrequent Flier. This is the only time you fly Leonardo's machine, besides the tutorial. You will not get a chance later on.
Now that you understand that, the rest is easy.
You must fly the Glider from fire to fire, until you go over the walls of the Palazzo Ducale Di Venezia.
As you glide along, there will be a few chances to kick Guards. Just hit the Left Trigger to lock on, and then fly into them, you'll kick them automatically.
If you miss, crash the Glider, or you will have to play through again to get it. You'll want to get it on the first set of Guards, so that you don't have to fly far if you miss

You can buy a painting in Florence fairly early in the game, but you must wait a while until you get to Venice.
There are paintings cost as little as 50 Florins, so you won't need lots of cash to get them

A variety of packages are available including the Prestige edition which comes with some night vision goggles, they work very good. I bought the prestige edition and it is well worth it. 5 AA batteries not included(I found out the hard way)
This is a great game that has been out for a little while but it makes my list because it has a campaign and some bonus levels to keep you interested. Batman Arham Asylum takes you through a thrill ride with a number of characters from the comic book. Your character changes and grows as you accomplish tasks or get hurt. Any fan of Batman should play this game.
Borderlands just came out and is a great choice because its campaign is long and there are a lot of customizable weapons.
