Tony Hawk Ride: Video Game Review S1E4

I love the Tony Hawk series but from the looks of it this is not one of the greats for the series. I agree with what machinma says about it. The problem is, I am not a skater, I am a gamer. I love skating games but don't really know crap about skating. Are you a skater? Did you try this? Then tell me what you think of the game.
If you are going to make a game that ships with a skateboard I would imagine you would spend as much time as possible making that combination work, It looks as though they didn't put enough work into it. Here is The description of the game:
Experience the true thrill of skateboarding as never before through the revolutionary new skateboard controller in Tony Hawk®: RIDE™. The unique motion-sensitive board controller redefines the action-sports genre by translating your body motions into the game. No buttons, no thumbs, no analog sticks—just you on the board. For the first time in videogame history, anyone can jump on a skateboard and feel the freedom, creativity, and accomplishment of skateboarding.

Fans of board sports will love the authentic experience of the board controller, and the intuitive nature of the board and multiple difficulty settings make it a fun and exciting experience for people of all ages and skill levels. The ease with which anyone can pick up and play this game and each player's unique playing style combine for a fun social game for friends and family to play together. Are you ready to RIDE?

•Start skating: No complicated button controls to master, no controllers to hold in your hand -- intuitive movements on the custom-built skateboard peripheral let you hop on and start skating.
•Get tricking: The free-standing, contoured board senses full 360-degree rotation, tilts, grabs, and lifts.
•Play your way: Multiple difficulty levels provide challenges for skaters and non-skaters. Conquer speed, trick, and challenge modes in steet and vert levels.
Does it live up to that description? No...
